Bespoke private workshop
This summer we will be able to host small group workshops from 1-6 people in our new Harrold HQ flower garden. Have a look at the gallery to see the space.
If you can get a few friends together and have something you would like to learn, or a budget in mind, we can create a bespoke workshop just for you. One to ones are also available. Prices are dependent on numbers and style of arrangement, from simple table jars, flower crowns, vases, bouquets to large urns and archways. We will show you around the gardens and you will be able to pick your own seasonal blooms to work with and learn how to create a beautiful display. The workshops can range from 1-5 hours depending on what you want to learn and include refreshments

Flower crown workshop
Mark the turning of the season and welcome the arrival of summer with a traditional May Day flower crown workshop. Rooted in centuries-old celebration, flower crowns have long symbolised renewal, abundance and the beauty of nature in full bloom. In this relaxed, hands-on session you’ll be guided through creating your own crown using fresh, seasonal flowers and foliage, inspired by classic May Day garlands and springtime hedgerows.

Spring bouquet workshop
Spend a relaxing morning exploring Hay Lane Flowers beautiful rural flower farm. Jane will show you around and talk about the flowers that are being grown at this time of year. You will be able to choose and collect a range of flower and foliage. Then in the workshop you will be shown how to arrange these chosen flowers in a hand-tied vase arrangement.
The workshop will last 2 hours and include tea and delicious cake.

You will be able to pick your own bucket of flowers and then in the workshop you will be shown how to arrange these chosen flowers in a variety of vases.

Come along to our flower garden with a view a pick some summer flowers and create a small jar/jug arrangement. You will have a tour of the garden to learn about the flowers growing at this time of year. You will pick your own flowers and be guided through how to arrange these in small containers or jars to create perfect centrepieces for your home.
The workshop will last 1-1.5 hours.

Flower crown workshop
Enjoy an early evening relaxing and learning how to design and create your very own flower crown using beautiful, long-lasting dried blooms in a rainbow of colours. Whether you’re heading to a festival, picnic, or you just want to feel like a floral goddess, this workshop is all about creativity, wellbeing, and a whole lot of flower power.
The workshop should last around 2 hours and will be run along side a craft evening at Stanwick Lakes.

Summer Bouquet Workshop
Spend a relaxing morning in the North Bedfordshire countryside creating a unique bouquet with locally grown flowers. You will be given a tour of the beautiful woodlands and walled garden at Turvey House and allowed to gather some stems from the grounds. Then you will learn how to cut, condition and combine a range of seasonal flower and scented foliage to create a gorgeous bouquet.
The workshop will last 2 hours and include refreshements.

Rustic Meadow Flower Workshop
Immerse yourself in the beautiful flower fields, meadows and hedgerows at a Hay Lane Flowers for a morning of creativity. With a guided tour you will be encouraged to pick your choice of flowers, foliage and grasses to create an airy table centre display that will make you dream of wandering a peaceful meadow. We will show you how to create a table display using chicken wire in a rustic container. The workshop will last 2 and a half hours and include refreshments.

Join us to create a perfect present for your teachers. This workshop is aimed at mums and children who would like to give their teacher something unique and handmade. Pick your favourite flowers from the garden and enjoy the summer late afternoon view whilst I teach you how to create a large jam jar full of summer blooms.

'Fill your arms' end of summer special
Join us to celebrate the end of summer flower season, with music and snacks. The garden should be bursting with colour and summer blooms and you will be able to fill your arms with flowers to take home .

Late summer dahlia workshop
Enjoy a tour of the our rural flower garden and learn about the British flowers at that are growing in late Summer including dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, scabious, phlox and verbena. Choose and cut your own bucketful of blooms and turn them into a gorgeous vase arrangement. Bring your favourite vase or we can supply one at a small extra cost.
