Would you like to develop your floristry skills using eco-friendly methods? We are running a full day workshop where you will learn a variety of eco-friendly floristry design techniques including large-scale floral installation. No non-biodegradable floral foam in sight!

The morning session will focus on demonstrating techniques and materials to make arrangements using eco alternatives to floral foam. This will include making chicken wire structures to use in water, mossages to attach to structures  and other methods to keep flowers and foliage fresh, including Agrawool and FibreFloral. We will finish with addding flowers to a existing archway structure.

In the afternoon guests will use late summer blooms and foliage from the walled garden to create a freestanding large archway

The workshop will be run at Howbury Farm Flowers using flowers and foliage from the walled garden and grounds.

The workshop will runfrom 10am - 4 pm and include a delicious lunch made from produce from the grounds and cakes and refreshments in the afternoon.

These courses are aimed at those who have some basic floristry experience and are looking to advance their skills and introduce eco friendly methods in their work.  This will give you the skills and confidence you need to start using different and more advanced techniques in your works. It is also an opportunity to meet like minded people who have a passion about working with natural materials.

Everyone will work together to make the structures ensuring you get to have a go at creating all of the installations. Guests will also be invited to dismantle and take away parts of the installation and flowers at the end of the day.

The cost of the workshop is £195 per person.  This includes all refreshments and tools and materials used, and is an intensive but very creative and rewarding day.
